Hard Reboot:
Perform this test if you have Hardware issues and network issues
Take out battery and SIM card from your handset while the BlackBerry device is powered on and wait for 20-30 seconds and replace. Your Blackberry will reboot then you can check the status
Soft reset:
Perform this test if you have software issues.
This stops all applications running on the BlackBerry and reboots, You can try this by pressing the ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE keys
